Adding shapes to your yearbook can give your project visual interest and flair. In this article we will go over how to add shapes to your page.
How to Add Shape Elements to the Page
Click on the "Elements" button under Insert Items section of the left toolbar in the designer.

Next, select the "Shapes" button in the menu

You will see 2 types of shapes. Regular shapes are colored black. Once you place them on the page you can change the color using the fill tool. Drop-Photo shapes are filled in gray with the words “Drop Photo Here”. You can fill these shapes with a photo.

Insert a shape on the page by clicking on the shape and the border of the selected shape will highlight green. Click anywhere on the yearbook page to insert the shape.

In addition to our standard shapes, we also have fun letter, number and other drop-photo shapes that you can fill with photos!

Change the Color of Your Shape
You can change the color of your shape by first clicking on the shape on your page. Then, in the top toolbar, you can fill your shape with a solid color by clicking on the paint bucket icon, also known as the Fill tool. You can change the color and thickness of the border by clicking on the pen icon, also know as the Border Color Tool, and then adjust the number listed by the pen to change the weight of the border line.

To apply a color change you can click the color in the pop up menu after either selecting border or fill. Learn how to create a custom color here.

Fill a Shape with a Photo
Select a photo by clicking the Photo button from the Insert Items section of the left toolbar. Choose the photo you would like to fill the shape with, then when the cursor is highlighted green with a preview of your photo, click in the center of the Drop Photo shape to fill your shape with the photo of your choosing.
