Custom fonts may appear incorrect, missing, or inconsistent in your yearbook designer for several reasons. This guide outlines the most common causes and how to resolve them.

1. The Font Is Not Supported

Not all fonts are supported in the designer. If you uploaded content (text boxes, templates, or PDF elements) containing a font that is not part of the approved system, the designer may replace it with a default font.

How to fix:

Select the text box.

Choose a supported font from the font dropdown list.

Apply the change to the entire text or page as needed.

2. The Text Style Was Not Applied Correctly

Sometimes the text style may look correct in one text box but not in others because the style was not applied consistently.

3. The Font Color Blends Into the Background

Fonts may appear missing when the color is too close to the background (for example: black text on a dark shape or white text on a light background).

How to fix:

Select the text box.

Change the font color to a contrasting shade.

For people pages: use People Actions → Text Style → Font Color.

4. The Browser Cache Needs to Be Refreshed

Occasionally, cached data prevents fonts from displaying correctly.

How to fix:

Refresh your browser window.

Clear your browser cache if the issue persists.

5. Using Copy/Paste from Another Program

Pasting text from Google Docs, Word, or websites often brings hidden formatting that the designer can’t interpret, causing font inconsistencies.

How to fix:

Paste the text using Paste as Plain Text (Ctrl + Shift + V or Cmd + Shift + V).

Reapply your preferred font afterward.

6.Network or Loading Delays

Slow internet or a temporary glitch can prevent fonts from fully loading.

How to fix:

Refresh the designer page.

Ensure your connection is stable.

Try closing and reopening the project.
